Electoral Law and Policy - Barbados
The National Registration System falls under the ambit of the Statistics Act, Cap. 192 and the Statistics (Registration Census of Barbadian Residents) Regulations 1979.
The Electoral Registration System is governed by the Representation of the People Act, Chapter 12, which has as its second schedule, the Rules for conduct of House of Assembly elections; the Representation of the People (General Elections) Allocation of Broadcasting Time) Regulations, 1990; the Elections Offences and Controversies Rules, 1959 and the Representation of the People (Registration of Electors) Regulations, 1990.
